Stephen Sumner honored as 2022 Bronze Stevie Award Winner.
We are proud to announce that Caliber Senior Director Stephen Sumner was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Communications Professional of the Year category in The 20th Annual American Business Awards®!
Stephen has been an integral part of Caliber’s growth and success in his leadership both with clients and our team. Drawing on a diverse career that spans politics, government, nonprofits and corporate communications and PR, he brings a rare combination of experiences that equips him to guide clients toward achieving goals.
Stephen’s work ethic and passion for PR extends into every work day with the goal of fostering professional growth and setting an example for team members. In the last two years, he has made significant contributions to Caliber’s culture:
- During the pandemic in 2020, Stephen instituted a mentorship program that continues today, pairing senior leaders with junior team members for regular meetings dedicated to professional development and support.
- Stephen leads Caliber’s DE&I committee, and has been active as they have shaped Caliber’s policies, programs, hiring practices and company culture.
- Stephen also teaches internal learning sessions on PR topics to support our team’s professional development.
